Great Barrier Reef Report for The Week Ending Sunday 18th May
It was somewhat on the wet and windy part this week. Winds in Cairns continue to be fresh and gusty from 25-30 knots, although the rain needs to be clearing with just a slight drizzle by Sunday. Despite the uneven conditions, the reef has become a hive of task.
Instructor Pascal from Flynn Reef reported many turtles, Lion Fish, and Parrot Bass. He also commented around the numerous smaller species active about the reefs. Introductory divers onboard Passions of Haven were thrilled from the sight of numerous barracuda swimming above them in mere six metres involving water.
